The Enhancing Early Education Programme (3EP) an initiative of the SRF Foundation is an early childhood education training programme that seeks to revolutionize education in the foundation years. The focus is on a child-centric approach through a specially designed curriculum.

Drawing from the wealth of experiences of The Shri Ram Schools, this Programme was set up in 2007 by Padma Shri, Late Mrs Manju Bharatram (Founder of The Shri Ram Schools). The primary aim of this initiative is to encapsulate the ethos of the ‘Shri- Educator’ which would offer aspiring and Inservice educators the tools, strategies, knowledge and practices to foster an exciting environment of joy, fun, learning and development in the children in the age group of 1.5 - 8 years.

Our Programmes

The programme focus is on a child-centric approach through a specially crafted curriculum which guides caring and committed adults to engage effectively with children.

This programme is an experiential, contemporary and specialized teaching programme which aims to equip individuals with the necessary skills and training towards becoming a quality educator. With a comprehensive understanding of Child Development, Curriculum and Skill Development, Classroom Management and Educational Thought. A hands-on approach and interactive sessions provide several opportunities for trainees to experience the teaching learning process. The experiences include lesson planning, creating teaching learning material, art and craft techniques, storytelling, soft skills and internship in schools to name a few.

  • Duration: Six-month with two batches in a year (July-December and November-May)

Frequently Asked Questions

We are aware that a number of people who undertake the course are looking at a change of pace and occupation. The tempo of the course picks up gradually over the six months therefore making it is easy to fall into a new routine. There is ample time given for submissions making it comfortable to achieve the task.

The batch usually comprises of individuals coming from diverse professional backgrounds such as bankers, lawyers, medical practioners, engineers, entrepreneur and self employed individuals. Along with this many young mothers and homemakers are a part of the batch.

The content is designed in a way that you will discover more about child development and understand the needs that children have at different ages and stages of growth. You will find yourself becoming more patient, more understanding and even more intuitive about your child’s behaviour.

You will learn how best to enhance your child’s abilities and extend them in fun ways.You will be able to offer interventions, opening up possibilities with simple practical strategies.

The course is conducted in English. However, we are bilingual (English and Hindi) in the classroom when required. You need to be able to understand English, but you are welcome to communicate in Hindi in the class if you are more comfortable with it. Persons who are keen to upgrade their skills in the English language are encouraged and supported all through the programme.

Do remember that there is a demand for teachers teaching Hindi, Computer, Games, etc. Looking ahead, you will find your niche in a school when seeking employment.

We provide assisted placements.

Some of our trainees have turned entrepreneurs by setting up learning centers for children. Some have joined the social development sector and are contributing in the field of education. To be a freelancer and work on time bound projects is another option some of our alumni have chosen.
